chapter 1:
the trip


     Before I tell you the story of what I have experienced in the past several years. I want you to know that what you are about to read is extremely unpleasant, and I mean unpleasant when I mention a few things. Thank you and now let's continue.

     My name is Jason, that's all you need to know in names. I used to live in New Jersey, Lovely place. Although I no longer live there and I will tell you why when I get there. Anyway, I'm not really sure where I am but it feels like home, but It's not my home. The place was designed to protect me from what is outside of this world and to be fair, it's a safe haven for me. Everything in my life fell apart back when I was in college 2010. I was 19 years old, about to turn 20 that year, and I was just learning about photography and art and all kinds of college courses you could think about. One day while studying for an exam, one of my old friends, Chris, comes up to me and asks “Hey, Jason. I know it's not much to ask, but are you available for the next few days?” I replied to him saying “sure, what kind of days? It really depends on my working schedule”. Chris was excited to tell me what he was planning. So he tells me about a weekend camping trip around the New Jersey Area. The Pine Barrens, I think that was the place. It was very far away from where I used to live because it was a 3 hour drive. “We are heading to The Pine Barrens this weekend, and I was wondering if you are available during the weekend?” 
“Actually, this is my final exam for this year. Guess why not?” I replied. After agreeing to go on This camping trip, I started working out a plan on what to bring for the trip in terms of food, drink, survival supplies, anything I needed for the trip. The next day, I went straight to the store to get the things I needed, it's a bit of a cliche I know. But like I said before, I am going in full detail. After getting The things I needed for the weekend camping trip, I decided to call my friend Chris telling him about what I got. But as I was calling him it went straight to voicemail. So I told him:
“Hey Chris, it's jason. I just wanted to let you know that I got the stuff I needed so you don't need to worry about that. If you get this voicemail, call me.” Immediately after giving out that voice message, Chris calls and tells me he is getting ready for Friday morning. Me and Chris apologized to each other and then we decided to go to sleep. 

   The next morning, I packed up all of my things and went straight to Chris's house. When I arrived, guess who I was surprised to see? Donnie and Julia. Julia is Chris's girlfriend, they have been together for a while now. From what I remembered, Chris and Julia have been together since high school and the 2 were inseparable. And Donnie was someone that Chris just recently met a while ago. “Hey Jason, you're coming with us too?” Donnie asked surprisingly. “Yeah, I guess Chris didn't tell you?” I asked. “I guess He didn't.” he looked at jason with slight disappointment. Me and Donnie never really got along that much. I remember the only reason Me and Donnie fought so much was because He always acted like a damn fool every chance he could get while in class. I was easily annoyed very quickly by His antics. I remembered he did something that struck a fucking nerve on me. It surprised me that Chris was even friends with him. It really has been a while since I have seen Donnie because after that incident they decided to switch me to a different schedule, away from him. Up until this point, Donnie seemed cool with me. 

“So, ready to visit Pine Barrens?” Asked Chris. Donnie immediately replied with
“Yeah, it should be fun since Jason is here.” I look at Donnie with complete unease when I know he was acting really passive aggressive with me. Even the moment I came into Chris's house. 

“Julia, are you ready to go?” Asked Chris. To which Julia replied with “yeah, I'm ready to go. Definitely ready to go.” Chris then turned to Donnie and asked if he was ready to go. To which Donnie replied with “yeah of course man.” We all went straight to the car and we were ready to go. We thought we were going to have a nice trip, but where did it all go wrong?

chapter 2: the pine barrens/the abandoned cabin Pine Barrens Woods Day 1    After we arrived at the Pine barren woods, Chris decided to take a look around after we set up camp. Setting up camp wasn't easy, because the way you have to put up a tent requires some rope and some bolts. The only people who were working on the tents was Me, Chris, and Julia. Donnie was doing absolutely nothing but being absolutely lazy on his ass playing angry birds. After I asked him many times to help us, he refused to do it. I wasnt sure if it was out of spite or what, but I wish he could've just helped. The tent was finally finished and Julia went back to the jeep and told Donnie off about being lazy. You should've seen how pissed off she was at the time, but I still remembered what she said to him. "You lazy piece of shit, you were playing angry birds the whole fucking time!?" "OH come on ma...." chapter 3: the footage/the possession July 2011 One year after the trip    I was once hesitant on whether or not I should look over the footage. I keeped having nightmares from that day in the woods. Nightmares depicting that man, that strange man. I couldn't even tell if it was a man at all. I still somehow remembered what happened when we were teleported. But I somehow still remembered encountering it, but Chris, Julia, and Donnie didn't remember a thing. Did that thing erase thier memories? Cause I remembered Julia screaming bloody murder when she saw it. I still remember her screaming "what the hell is that?" But she couldn't even remember. I hadn't even thought of that incident since, but just recently I found the camera again in my closet. When I found the camera, it brought back the time I wanted to look at the footage. But I decided to hide the footage for a while because I was so traumatized from the incident. Chris had been trying to call me for days...
